Summer Bay finally gets its win. After months of fear, manipulation, and violence, Beau’s grip on Harper and Sonny is broken — but the fallout leaves one huge question hanging over the show: is this the end of the road for Harper in Summer Bay?
It’s been a brutal few months since Beau (Blake Richardson) first slithered into town back in June. What began as a “friendly” offer to Sonny (Ryan Bown) — a shortcut to recovery through steroids — quickly spiralled into something far darker. Beau didn’t just exploit Sonny’s desperation to get back in the gym. He wormed his way into Harper’s (Jessica Redmayne) life too, and soon revealed himself to be exactly the kind of man no one saw coming: controlling, violent, and dangerous.
A Trail of Damage
Beau’s list of crimes reads like a rap sheet. He strong-armed Sonny into dealing steroids on his behalf. He struck Harper for daring to complain when he dragged her away from Dana (Ally Harris) and Sonny’s engagement party. And when Remi (Adam Rowland) went to the police about the steroid operation, Beau had him abducted as punishment.
For a while, it looked like Beau might slip through the cracks entirely. Even after Sonny confessed everything to Cash (Nicholas Cartwright), police had no hard evidence to hold him. It was only when Tane (Ethan Browne) uncovered the truth about Beau’s abuse of Harper — and convinced her to finally speak up — that the case against him started to stick.
But Beau isn’t the type to go quietly. As he was led out of Yabbie Creek police station, he turned on Harper with a chilling threat.
“I’m gonna kill you for this,” he snarled. “I’m gonna track you down. I’m gonna find you and your little boy!”
Bail, Betrayal, and a Trap Is Set
In true soap fashion, Beau was granted bail — AVO and all — and it wasn’t long before he broke the terms of it, sneaking back into Summer Bay. Harper’s tracking app picked up his location, but police explained it wasn’t enough to act on. So Tane took matters into his own hands.
He convinced Harper to leave town and stay somewhere Beau couldn’t find her, arranging for her to hide out at his cousin’s place. But before she left, Tane suggested something else: they’d swap phones so Beau couldn’t track her movements. What Harper didn’t know was that Tane had a far bolder plan brewing — he intended to use her phone to lure Beau out of hiding himself.
By the end of last week, Beau was already back in the bay, secretly watching Dana as she walked home from visiting Harper.
The Sting Operation
This week, as police patrol the streets with no luck spotting Beau, Tane lets Mali (Kyle Shilling) in on his plan. Mali’s worried Tane could land himself in serious trouble — but Tane isn’t backing down. Someone has to draw Beau out, and he’s willing to be that someone.
That night, the plan clicks into gear: Beau texts back, agreeing to meet “Harper” first thing in the morning. Tane heads straight to the police station to loop in David (Jeremy Lindsay Taylor), warning him upfront that he isn’t going to love the details of the plan.
Meanwhile, Beau can’t resist making the most of his time back in town. He storms up to the diner apartment to threaten Sonny directly, demanding he retract his police statement.
“What I did to Remi would be child’s play compared to what I do to you,” he warns.
Sonny, done being afraid, doesn’t flinch. “Bring it on,” he replies.
Cornered at Last
The next morning, Beau walks straight into the trap, arriving in the parkland with flowers, expecting to see Harper. Instead, he spots Tane closing in from the beach — and bolts. But it’s too late. Police cars swarm the area, and Beau is completely cornered.
Tane reaches him first, tackling him to the ground before officers can even get there. Beau tries every trick to bait Tane into throwing a punch, but Tane holds his composure and lets David make the arrest.
David tells Tane he made the right call, promising Beau will be locked away for a long time. But before he’s hauled off, Tane fires one last warning at Beau: come near Harper or their son again, and there will be no mercy next time.
A Bittersweet Victory
You’d think this would be the moment for celebration — and for a brief second, it is. Tane rushes back to tell Harper the news that Beau is finally behind bars. But Harper’s relief is short-lived. She tells Tane she doesn’t think she can ever come back to Summer Bay. Beau will be released eventually, she reasons, and she’s terrified of what he might do to her and baby Archie when that day comes.
With actress Jessica Redmayne reportedly having already filmed her final scenes for the show, fans are left wondering: has Harper just walked out of Summer Bay for the very last time?
Sonny and Dana: A Relationship on the Rocks
While Beau’s storyline reaches its explosive climax, Sonny and Dana’s relationship is quietly falling apart. Dana discovers Sonny stuffing a bottle of pills back into his bag — proof that his recovery has taken a devastating step backwards.
Sonny chases her down across the parkland, desperately trying to explain how brutal his withdrawals have been. But Dana has had enough. She ends things on the spot, telling him he’s broken her trust for the final time, before moving in with Tane.
Remi, ever the loyal friend, refuses to let Sonny go through this alone. He moves in to help him through the worst of the withdrawal symptoms — even confiscating Sonny’s phone when the temptation to beg Dana for another chance becomes too much.
Eventually, Sonny convinces Remi to reach out to Dana on his behalf. Silence follows… until, out of nowhere, a reply lands: Dana is willing to talk.
Second Chances and Sisterly Advice
Over at the safe house, Harper notices something is off with Dana and gets the full story of the breakup. When Remi’s message comes through, Tane isn’t thrilled that he’s still backing Sonny — but Harper sees it differently. Given her own history with addiction, she urges her sister to consider giving Sonny another shot.
Dana takes the advice to heart, inviting Remi over to ask him straight: can Sonny actually change? Remi doesn’t hesitate, telling her Sonny wants nothing more than a future with her — and pointing out that she wouldn’t have reached out if she didn’t feel the same way.
One Step Forward, One Step Back
Dana returns to Summer Bay ready to try again, and Sonny promises he’ll fight to make things right. Still battling withdrawal symptoms, the pair head to bed hoping to pick things up the next morning.
But when dawn breaks, Dana walks in on Sonny taking more pills — and her fury is instant. Hasn’t he even managed one single day without turning back to drugs? Sonny insists they’re just painkillers for his headaches, but the damage is already done. Dana’s immediate assumption of the worst says everything about how little trust is left between them.
With Harper preparing to leave Summer Bay for good, and Sonny and Dana teetering on the edge, one big question remains for fans: will Dana stay and fight for her relationship, or follow her sister toward a fresh start far away from the bay?
