Furious and shaken, he rounded on Shona, accusing her of being careless and warning that Harper could have been seriously hurt.

Here’s where it gets interesting. Rather than pushing David further away from Shona, the incident had an unexpected result: David suggested Jodie take on more hands-on responsibility for Harper’s care, freeing him up to spend quality time relaxing with his wife.
At first glance, Jodie seemed pleased with the arrangement. But her true intentions became disturbingly clear later that night, when — with Shona resting — she filmed baby Harper crying on her phone.
