What’s next in Summer Bay?
Coming up on Home and Away, Richie’s return causes unrest in Summer Bay as Abigail must decide where her loyalties lie.
Elsewhere, Cash finds a support group to help him and Eden, and Marilyn receives devastating news about Zane.
Here’s a full collection of 14 big moments coming up.
1. Cash is on the hunt for help
Eden and Cash take a trip out to Salt, but as exhaustion quickly sets in, Eden is forced to return home to the sofa.
John soon arrives at the house, keen to help and let Cash know he doesn’t have to carry the burden of caring for Eden alone.
On John’s advice, Cash manages to find an online aplastic anaemia support group and leaves a message on one of its forums.
2. Marilyn feels Zane has been failed
Over at the police station, Zane pleads with Marilyn to stop campaigning for his release and accept that he belongs in prison.
Marilyn storms back to the Diner and accuses John of saying something that triggered Zane’s rage.
John defends himself but Marilyn still feels the community has completely failed Zane.
3. Marilyn says goodbye to Zane
Mali catches up with Marilyn and is able to give her some valuable insight into Zane’s headspace.
Marilyn returns to the police station where she and Zane say their final goodbyes before he’s transferred to prison.
Heartbroken Marilyn tries to put on a brave face and carry on, but once alone in the Diner store room, she breaks down in tears.
4. Levi has news for Amelia
Levi asks Amelia if she knows any surgeons that would operate on his hand so he can return to work at the ED.
Amelia is left wondering if this means she could soon be out of a job and explains how much she’s warmed to Summer Bay.
Afterwards Levi catches up with Abigail and is shocked to learn Richie is back on the scene. He urges his sister to ignore the haters and follow what’s best for her.
5. Cash won’t give up on Eden
Eden is frustrated to learn Cash has been discussing their situation on a forum without permission.
Cash defends his actions and tells Eden he’s found a woman who’s still alive three years after failing to find a stem-cell donor. He suggests meeting her, but Eden angrily shuts him down.
But despite their differing opinions, Cash refuses to give up on finding a way to save Eden.
6. Marilyn is questioning herself
Leah takes the day off to support Marilyn, who’s struggling in the wake of Zane’s imprisonment.
Over lunch, Leah tries to comfort her friend, but Marilyn insists she can no longer live with such an open heart.
Alf overhears this and follows Marilyn out, reminding her of how much she helped Jett and that her kind nature is the reason everyone loves her.
7. Sonny and Remi switch roles
Remi is keeping a close eye on Sonny at Salt, much to his best mate’s annoyance.
Justin finally manages to drag Remi away from the bar and invites him to dinner. After the meal, Justin advises Remi to leave Sonny be and focus his attentions on Eden instead.
Remi finally backs off and Sonny realises it’s his time to be there for his friend.
8. Lacey wants Richie gone
Abigail summons Richie to her place to discuss their future. The exes agree to give their relationship another try, but take things slowly.
They head out for dinner, but run into Lacey who makes it clear how disgusted she is to see Abigail back with the guy who shot David.
Lacey orders Richie to leave Summer Bay, which makes Abigail doubt her decision to get back together. But Levi stands by Richie and urges him to give things time.
9. Richie declares his love for Abigail
Bolstered by Levi’s words, Richie declares his love for Abigail and she’s won over by his commitment.
But David is triggered by traumatic memories when he comes face-to-face with Richie for the first time.
Lacey switches into emergency-mode as she vows to protect her dad, but Amelia points out David is an adult and they don’t have a right to force Richie out of town.
10. Amelia’s job is under threat
Amelia admits to Levi that she doesn’t want to give him his job back, but he remains set on his plan to return to the ED.
Levi questions what’s changed Amelia’s decision to stick around and she admits David is the reason.
But will there be room for both Levi and Amelia at the hospital?
11. David sets boundaries with Richie
Amelia is concerned when David fails to return home for the night and heads to the station to find him.
David tries to downplay how affected he was by seeing Richie, but takes up Amelia’s advice of meeting up with him in person.
Richie explains he’s come back for Abigail, but David makes it clear they’ll never be friends and asks him to stay away from his family.
12. Lacey makes peace with Abigail
With the boundaries set, David returns to Lacey and tells her it’s time they all moved on with their lives.
Lacey takes her dad’s advice and goes to repair her fractured friendship with Abigail.
The girls call a truce, with Lacey giving Abigail her blessing to carry on dating Richie.
13. Marilyn receives news about Zane
Marilyn returns to work after two days off and tells Alf and Leah how worried she is about Zane’s sentencing.
Alf does some digging and learns that Zane was given eight months for breaching parole, plus 17 months for assaulting an officer. On top of this, he must serve the remainder of his original sentence.
He relays the news to Marilyn, who’s disappointed with how things have worked out for Zane.
14. Richie moves in with Justin and Leah
Leah and Justin remain worried for David, but Marilyn feels sorry for Richie and believes he deserves a second chance.
Leah takes Marilyn’s words to heart and offers Richie the spare room at her and Justin’s.
But when Justin arrives home, he’s caught off guard to find Richie there. How is he going to explain this one to David?
