Could Ava Jerome (Maura West) become the new suspect in WSB Chief Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) disappearance?

Wait … What?

General Hospital’s weekly promo shows Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) talking about a case.

Dante asks Joe if there’s an update, and the newbie cop says: Ava Jerome.

As the preview continues, Williams Baines (Alimi Ballard) confronts a shocked Ava, and then a scene between Baines and Nina shows the interim WSB Chief saying, “We may have rushed to judgment.”

Joe has been investigating Brennan’s disappearance and obtained a statement from two Metro Court employees saying that Ava was the last person seen with the WSB Chief.

With Ava’s connection to Brennan’s disappearance coming under scrutiny, the situation could quickly spiral out of control.

As Wednesday, October 28 rolls around, Ava will need a lawyer. Will Joe dig up information that could further incriminate Ava?

The Proof Is In The Pudding

Ava was warned about partnering up with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), and now she’ll understand why.

There’s a good chance that video footage surfaces of Ava placing those sleeping pills in Brennan’s drink.

If that doesn’t happen, then potentially video is presented of Brennan being fine before his phone call when he left the table, and then walking wobbling and visibly intoxicated, after the fact.

Considering Ava and Drew’s dangerous alliance, any new evidence could make their situation even worse.

Then, there’s always the chance that Brennan’s body is found too.

The Quartermaines will be rocked with news, and this could be about Brennan being discovered in the nature preserve next to the Q estate.

Something as small as a blonde hair being found on Brennan’s body could be incriminating if there’s other evidence stacked against her, so only time will tell.

Either way, Nina will be relieved to be released from Steinmauer, but will she simply be swapped out for Ava?

With Nina Reeves’ legal troubles potentially coming to an end, Ava could be facing a nightmare of her own.

Fans will have to tune in to find out!

Annemarie’s Take

I think Ava is about to learn a very painful lesson about trusting Drew Cain! Nina may finally get her freedom, but it looks like Ava could end up taking her place behind bars.

The real question is whether Ava will protect Drew or turn on him to save herself. Personally, I’d love to see Ava expose everything Drew has been hiding rather than take the fall for him. What do you think?
