General Hospital spoilers and updates indicate that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has reached a state of utter desperation.

Falsely accused of being involved in Jack Brennan’s (Chris L. McKenna) disappearance, how far will she go to escape her current situation?

Nina Was Relieved She Wasn’t In Steinmauer Anymore

After spending considerable time at Steinmauer, Nina felt a sense of relief upon learning of her transfer to a WSB holding facility near Port Charles.

This could have been William Baines’ (Alimi Ballard) strategy to extract more information from Nina.

By relocating her closer to home, Baines might have aimed to motivate Nina to share what she knows, as her ultimate desire is to reunite with her family.

Despite her pleas, Baines required her to be truthful about her knowledge.

After Nina assured Baines that she was not responsible for Jack Brennan’s death, he confessed that he believed her.

Baines Told Nina The Investigation Is Being Reopened

Baines has also indicated that they are reopening the investigation and considering other suspects.

Nina appeared shocked to discover that her daughter Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is among them. What will she do next?

Given Nina’s previous actions, General Hospital fans are aware that she would go to great lengths to ensure Willow stays out of prison.

Nina might be inclined to negotiate with the WSB for her own freedom in exchange for protecting Willow.

This could mean sacrificing someone else who is close to her!

Will Nina Blame Ava To Take The Heat Off Willow?

If Baines begins to interrogate Nina regarding Ava Jerome (Maura West) and her potential involvement, Nina could fabricate a story that casts suspicion on Ava.

Perhaps she could suddenly “remember” details that make Ava appear guilty.

Nina might accuse Ava of being involved in Brennan’s murder, claiming she kept quiet out of loyalty to her best friend.

In truth, the real betrayal would be Nina’s deceit about Ava’s culpability.

Nina could be prepared to testify against Ava and sign any necessary documents, but she will likely seek guarantees that she will be released and that Willow will remain safe.

With General Hospital spoilers and updates pointing to more trouble surrounding Brennan’s disappearance, Nina could find herself facing an impossible choice.

Nina May Be Required To Gather Evidence Against Ava

Nina may need to gather evidence against Ava once she’s free.

If Nina assists the WSB in taking Ava down, Baines could assure her that they will leave both her and Willow alone.

However, there’s a chance Nina might strike a different deal with the WSB instead, indicating that negotiations could be on the horizon.

Is this the only path for Nina to escape her predicament and keep Willow from facing her own troubles?

Fans following General Hospital news and spoilers know that Nina’s loyalty to Willow has led to some questionable decisions in the past.

General Hospital spoilers indicate that Nina will need to devise a plan, so keep an eye out for any surprising developments ahead!

Annemarie’s Take

I wouldn’t put it past Nina to throw Ava under the bus if she thought it would save Willow! We’ve seen how far Nina is willing to go for her daughter, even when Willow doesn’t necessarily deserve that kind of loyalty. But betraying Ava could be a huge mistake, especially considering everything Ava knows. If Nina makes a deal with the WSB and sacrifices her best friend, I have a feeling that decision could come back to haunt her in a very big way!

Do you think Nina will betray Ava to protect Willow, or will she find another way out of WSB custody? Would Ava ever forgive her? Tell us what you think in the comments below!
