General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Framed for the Sidwell Attack as Curtis Becomes Collateral Damage

Port Charles is about to turn on one of its most feared men. In the General Hospital spoilers for October 5-9, 2026, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) appears to be the target of a carefully built frame-up over the attempted murder of Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). And the evidence stacking up against him is hard to argue with.

Not everyone is celebrating the chaos, though. Even the people who set the trap in motion are starting to worry about who got hurt along the way.

The Net Tightens Around Sonny

The trouble begins before the new week even starts. On Wednesday, September 30, Sonny turns to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) with questions, likely about who the men involved in the Sidwell attack would answer to if not him. Jason is long out of the mob business, but Sonny is clearly running out of people he can trust.

Sonny also tells Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Jason that they need to “take care of” Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). It sounds ominous, but the likelier meaning is a conversation, not violence. Ric reportedly says that talking to Curtis will tell them everything they need to know.

The three are now working together to contain the fallout. Ric is in full damage-control mode, and Sonny has sworn to his brother that he didn’t order the hit. His theory is that his man inside Pentonville either went rogue or took orders from someone else. Sonny knows he would be the obvious suspect if anything happened to Sidwell, and now it has.

Why It Looks So Bad

By Thursday, October 1, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is expected to put Sonny on the spot, most likely asking him straight out whether he had Sidwell beaten. Sonny will almost certainly insist he’s innocent, but the pieces don’t help him. Curtis has already said Sonny’s name was dropped during the attack, and Dante identified Sonny’s men at Pentonville when Joe showed him and Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) the prison video.

It’s a thorough frame job, and none of it looks good for Sonny.

On Friday, October 2, Justine tells Sonny to look her in the eye and say whether he was behind it. He says it wasn’t him and suspects something else is going on. But it looks like Justine may not believe him, and Sonny is devastated. She may even end things, convinced he’s playing her for a fool.

Drew and Ava: Pleased, Then Shaken

Behind the scenes, Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) are happy with how their plan is unfolding. The theory is that they set up the Sidwell beating to frame Sonny, and if he’s arrested, Ava could gain full custody of Avery Corinthos.

But on Wednesday they get a horrifying shock, and it’s likely tied to Curtis becoming collateral damage. Both of them like Curtis, so the guilt may cut deep. This week, one of the two injured men is at death’s door, and fans will be watching to see whether Curtis’s injuries are worse than first thought.

Jordan’s Shock and a Life-Changing Surprise

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) is horrified this week, though not directly because of the attack on Curtis. She’s baffled by his news, which may involve attorney Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) turning up and offering to represent him. Jordan also seems unhappy that Curtis stepped in to help Sidwell, and she tells him he talks a good game but she doesn’t buy it. Fans will learn more about whether he has internal bleeding.

Then comes a ray of hope. On Friday, Jordan receives life-changing news. Michael has apparently been pushing the clinic and has arranged for her to have a procedure with the German doctor who rebuilt his face after his terrible scars.

Next week, expect fresh friction between Jordan and Monet. Jordan won’t be pleased that Monet approached Curtis behind her back, especially since Monet surely knew exactly whose man he was when she walked into that room.
