General Hospital spoilers say that for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), things are about to get worse for him in a way that he never expected before. Keep reading below for all the details you need to know.
Sonny’s Downward Spiral Is About To Get Ugly
Is Sonny ready to get the hell out of Port Charles once and for all? That’s what a lot of General Hospital fans can’t help but wonder as all signs point to actor Maurice Benard retiring from daytime television, but not without a bang, first.
As many of our readers already know, Sonny has officially retired from the mob but at the same time, has been accused of orchestrating an attack that had nothing to do with him.
Everyone knows that Sonny isn’t guilty of ordering the attack on Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), which led to Curtis getting hurt.
A lot of people also seem to be hellbent on getting their revenge on Sonny and destroying him once and for all, like Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), who has apparently made it her personal mission to do so.
Nevertheless, half of Port Charles is blaming Sonny for trying to destroy the mob when he had spent the last several decades keeping things in order from his end.
That said, General Hospital spoilers say that Sonny seems to be in self-destructive mode lately. He’s been hitting the bottle and he also looks nothing like himself, either. Some even believe that he might be depressed, which will make his situation even worse.
What’s Next For Sonny Corinthos?
Seeing how there has been a lot of reports suggesting that Maurice Benard is getting ready to hang up his hat at General Hospital, this all makes sense.
Sonny might end up hitting rock bottom before getting his last hurrah out of the way before his portrayer officially retires from the show. But before that happens, things are going to get pretty ugly for Sonny, as needless as it is to even say it. He might even end up fighting for his life.
