The drama is heating up in Summer Bay next week, and the legendary Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher) is about to find himself on the wrong side of the law. Home and Away spoilers reveal that a series of missed warnings and stubborn mistakes will leave Alf driving illegally. To make matters worse, a brand-new police recruit catches him red-handed!
It all starts when Roo (Georgie Parker) begins noticing that her father is becoming a bit forgetful, sparking a massive family feud.
The License Nightmare: Roo Uncovers A Huge Secret
At Summer Bay House, Marilyn (Emily Symons) is planning a nice dinner but needs a wok from a high shelf. When Alf grabs a stepladder to get it, Roo immediately steps in and tells him it’s too risky. Alf gets offended, stubborn as always, and snaps that he will decide when he is “too old” for things.
However, Roo’s worries grow when John arrives with a massive stack of missed mail. While sorting through it, Roo finds something shocking—a medical assessment reminder for Alf to renew his driver’s license.

The letter is already a month old! This means Alf has been driving around Summer Bay completely unlicensed. Instead of fixing it, a furious Alf refuses to be pushed and storms out to the bait shop, leaving Roo deeply concerned.
Enter Rookie Cop Richie: The Whoopee Cushion Prank Goes Wrong
Meanwhile, at the Yabbie Creek police station, Sergeant David introduces Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) to a new probationary constable, Richard “Richie” Brezniak (Rocco Forrester-Sach). Richie is fresh out of the academy and desperate to impress.
Looking for a way to bond, Richie gets talking to Cash’s sister-in-law, Abigail, at Salt. Realizing Richie wants to win Cash over, Abby decides to have some fun and tells him that Cash absolutely loves pranks.
The next morning, Cash sits down at his desk and a loud fart noise echoes through the station—Richie got him with a whoopee cushion! While Sergeant David is amused, Cash is deeply embarrassed and furious with the rookie.
Caught Red-Handed: Richie Pulls Over Alf Stewart!
Things go from bad to worse for Richie when Cash takes him out on traffic duty. While on patrol, the police camera flags a car with an expired registration.
And guess who is behind the wheel? Yes, it’s Alf Stewart.
Richie pulls Alf over and explains that his car registration has lapsed. But when Cash steps in and asks to see his license, Alf is forced to make a humiliating confession—his driver’s license has expired too!

Cash tries to be nice and offers Alf a warning since it’s his first offense, but proud Alf refuses special treatment and demands the fine.
The Final Shock: Why Did Alf Cancel His Doctor’s Appointment?
Later, Roo tries to help by setting reminders on Alf’s phone, but Alf snaps at her for treating him like a “silly old fool.” He secretly confesses to Leah that he hates feeling like a problem that needs to be fixed.
Soon after, there is a sigh of relief when Alf finally books an appointment with his GP to get his medical test done. But the next morning, Leah and Marilyn are left stunned when Alf walks into the diner at the exact time of his appointment.
When Sergeant David bumps into him at the surf club, Alf drops a massive bomb. He didn’t forget the appointment at all—he canceled it on purpose!
What is really going on with Alf Stewart? Is he hiding a serious health issue, or is his stubbornness going to cost him his freedom? Stay tuned next week to find out!
