There’s a moment every Home and Away fan dreads — when a beloved character starts packing their bags. And right now, that moment might be closing in on Harper.
For weeks, Harper (Jessica Redmayne) has been living under a cloud of fear, jumping at shadows, terrified that her violent ex Beau (Blake Richardson) could reappear at any second. Now, in a tense and high-stakes storyline, Tane (Ethan Browne) is taking matters into his own hands with a plan daring enough to either save Harper for good — or blow up spectacularly in his face.
A Statement, an Arrest Warrant, and a Vanishing Act
It all started when Harper finally found the courage to go to police. It wasn’t an easy decision, and it took someone close to her noticing the signs first.
“Cash is the one who saw something is not right with Harper and notices the mark on her face. He convinced her to make a statement,” Jessica Redmayne told TV WEEK.
That statement should have been the beginning of the end for Beau. Instead, he vanished before police could get their hands on him — and an AVO on paper does little to calm Harper’s nerves when the man himself is still out there.
“The AVO doesn’t stop Beau from returning to the Bay though…” Redmayne teased, hinting that Harper’s ordeal was far from over.
Tane’s Dangerous Bait-and-Switch
With Harper unaware of what’s unfolding behind the scenes, Tane starts secretly texting Beau — pretending to be her. It’s a huge risk, but Tane is banking on Beau’s obsession with Harper to lure him out of hiding and straight into a police trap.
After days of tense back-and-forth messages, Beau finally takes the bait. He agrees to a meeting on the beach, believing he’s about to see Harper again.
Dana Drops Sonny — And Beau Is Watching
Meanwhile, another storm is brewing. Dana (Ally Harris) has discovered that Sonny (Ryan Bown) has relapsed, and she’s done making excuses for him. Despite his desperate promises to get clean, Dana isn’t buying it anymore.

“It’s over,” she tells him coldly, walking away from the relationship for good.
What Dana doesn’t realise is that Beau is lurking nearby, watching the entire breakup unfold. The second Dana’s gone, Beau swoops in on Sonny — not for comfort, but with a threat. He wants Sonny to retract his police statement, or face the consequences. Having already lost everything that mattered to him, a broken Sonny refuses to back down.
The Trap Snaps Shut
Beau, still convinced he’s about to reunite with Harper, turns up at the beach with a bunch of flowers in hand — a chilling touch given everything he’s put her through. But instead of Harper, it’s Tane who steps out to meet him.
Realising he’s been set up, Beau bolts. It’s too late. Police swarm the beach, and Sergeant David Langham (Jeremy Lindsay Taylor) slaps the cuffs on him, assuring everyone that Harper’s nightmare is finally, officially over.
Is It Really Over for Harper?
Back at the safe house, Tane can’t wait to share the news: Beau is heading to jail. It should feel like a victory. But for Harper, the fear doesn’t just switch off because an arrest has been made.
In a gut-punch twist, Harper tells Tane that she and Archie won’t be coming back to Summer Bay after all.
“Harper fears nothing will stop Beau from returning to the Bay in the future to seek revenge on Harper and potentially put Archie’s life in danger,” Redmayne explained. “She decides there’s no other option than to leave the Bay and go somewhere Beau can’t find them, so she can protect her son.”
It’s a heartbreaking decision from a mother who has already sacrificed so much for her son’s safety — and it raises a huge question for fans: is this really the end of Harper’s story in Summer Bay, or could there be a way back for her once the dust settles?
One thing’s for sure — Beau’s reign of terror may be behind bars, but the fallout for the people he’s hurt is only just beginning.
