Home and Away is about to deliver one of its most nerve-shredding moments in recent memory, as a light-hearted boys’ trip to the Blue Mountains descends into a genuine fight for survival. One beloved character is about to take a terrifying fall — and right now, nobody’s saying who.
So grab a seat, because this is a storyline you’re going to want to follow closely.
It All Starts With a Prize… and a Peace Offering
The trip begins innocently enough. Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) wins an adventure getaway at a local fundraiser, and quickly rounds up Mali (Kyle Shilling) and Tane (Ethan Browne) to join him. But it’s the fourth member of the group, Levi (Tristan Gorey), whose invitation carries a lot more weight than a simple “yes, I’m in.”
Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) has been watching her brother struggle in the wake of his and Mackenzie’s recent miscarriage, and pushes Cash to bring Levi along — a gesture meant kindly, but one that’s about to cause real friction.
“Levi and Mackenzie’s most recent miscarriage has reopened a deep wound,” actor Tristan Gorey told TV Week. “But, this time, it seems to be taking a far greater toll on Levi. Levi is trying his best to be there for his partner, but it’s difficult when his own grief is blurring his vision.”

An Uninvited Guest Finds Out The Truth
Here’s the sting: Levi eventually discovers the real reason he was invited, and it isn’t because the boys wanted his company. It’s because Eden felt sorry for him. Understandably, he’s furious about being treated as a “pity invite” — and that resentment travels with him all the way to the Blue Mountains.
Once the group arrives, the tension between Levi and Cash becomes impossible to ignore, much to the quiet amusement of Mali and Tane, who seem more than happy to watch the drama unfold from the sidelines.
Levi doesn’t hold back. He challenges Cash to a best-of-three archery showdown, determined to prove he belongs. From there, the rivalry only escalates — spilling into a fiercely competitive round on the tree ropes course, and then into laser tag, with both men refusing to back down.
“Levi is able to step up to the challenge and doesn’t mind a little friendly competition, especially after everything that’s happened,” Gorey explains. “But Cash and Levi come pretty close to being at each other’s throats.”

A Rare Moment of Peace Before Everything Changes
By nightfall, something shifts. The group settles around a campfire, and for the first time since the trip began, there’s an easy, comfortable quiet between them — a rare pocket of genuine bonding after a day of one-upmanship. It’s the kind of moment that makes you think, finally, these boys might actually be getting somewhere.
It won’t last.
The next morning, the group heads out on a bush walk. The heat is intense, the trail stretches further than expected, and with every step deeper into the wilderness, Levi grows increasingly uneasy. Is this too far? Should they turn back?
“A little distraction during this time goes a long way… but what unfolds next, nobody will see coming,” Gorey teases — and it’s hard not to feel a chill reading that line.
The Ground Gives Way
The others dismiss Levi’s concerns and press on. But as they venture into rougher, more treacherous terrain, his instincts prove to be right. Without warning, the ground beneath one of the group crumbles away — and someone plunges into the depths that open up below.
The question now hanging over Summer Bay is impossible to ignore: who falls? Can they be found in time? And will they survive?
For now, Home and Away is keeping its cards firmly close to its chest. But with tension already running high between Cash and Levi, and Mali and Tane caught in the middle of it all, there’s no shortage of fan theories about exactly who’s about to end up fighting for their life.
