Grief, Goodbyes and a Growing Threat — Next Week Has It All
Summer Bay is about to go through the emotional wringer. From a heartbreaking return to work that ends in tears, to a shocking exit that leaves one character starting over from scratch, and a chilling glimpse into just how dangerous Beau really is — next week’s episodes are packed with drama that will have fans glued to their screens.
Grab a tissue, brace yourself, and let’s dive into everything coming your way between 20 and 24 July.
1. Sonny Turns His Back on Remi’s Help
Remi is still struggling to process the discovery that Sonny has been using illegal steroids, and even Eden can sense the tension simmering between them. Remi refuses to open up about what’s really going on, but a heart-to-heart with Cash reminds him not to give up on his friend just yet.
Unfortunately, Sonny isn’t ready to listen. Rather than accepting the lifeline being offered to him, he heads straight back to the gym and hides a bottle of pills in an empty locker — proof that his spiral is far from over.
2. Eden Isn’t Ready to Rush Into Fostering
Cash is itching to submit their application to become foster parents, but Eden can’t shake the feeling that everything is happening too fast. When Cash gently presses her for an answer, Eden tells him honestly that she needs to trust her instincts rather than force a decision before she’s ready.
Sensing just how much Cash still longs to be a father, Eden offers a compromise, suggesting he look into a youth mentorship program that pairs adults with troubled teens instead.

3. John Learns an Unexpected Lesson
Mali’s idea to host a blind auction to raise money for the Surf Club doesn’t sit well with John at first. Determined to bring him around, Lacey tricks him into a bidding war over what he believes is a valuable mystery prize.
When John realises he’s just spent his money on nothing more than a flyer, he’s not exactly thrilled — but the stunt ends up teaching him a valuable lesson about just how effective an auction could be for the club’s finances.
4. Mac’s Brave Comeback Falls Apart
Levi decides it’s time for himself and Mackenzie to take a small step out of their grief, encouraging a trip to Salt together. Mac sends Eden home to work things out with Cash and throws herself back into work, taking orders like old times.
But her composure shatters the moment she steps into the store room and stumbles across the baby shower scrapbook Abigail lovingly put together for her — a devastating reminder of everything they’ve lost.

5. Levi and Mac Grieve Together
After finding Mac in tears, Levi doesn’t hold back his frustration with Abigail for leaving the scrapbook somewhere she could find it. Recognising that his wife needs more time before returning to normal life, Levi is relieved when Amelia agrees to extend his leave from work so he can be there for her.
Back home, the couple sit together with the scrapbook, quietly acknowledging the future that was taken from them — a raw, emotional moment that’s sure to hit fans hard.
6. Richie Chases a Fresh Start
Richie opens up to Abigail about how difficult it’s been trying to find work, and she steps in to help polish his CV. Her support pays off when Richie lands an interview for a bouncer role at a nightclub in Yabbie Creek.
There’s just one catch — he needs a reference from his previous employer. When he reaches out to David for help, he’s met with nothing but anger.
7. David’s Trauma Reaches Breaking Point
Lacey’s worry for her father intensifies after David suffers yet another flashback to the shooting. Convinced he may be dealing with PTSD, she calls in Amelia for a professional opinion.
Amelia arrives at exactly the wrong moment, walking in just as David is furiously laying into Richie over the reference request. It’s immediately clear to her that David is far from okay.

8. Richie Leaves Summer Bay for Good
With David refusing to give him a reference, Richie tries one last avenue, turning to Cash for a security job instead. Abigail is livid when Cash turns him down flat, unconvinced that Richie is suited to the role.
Faced with rejection at every turn, Richie makes the difficult decision to leave Summer Bay behind for a fresh start elsewhere, telling Abigail it’s simply time to move on.
9. Amelia Becomes David’s Support System
David agrees to a walk with Amelia, finally opening up about the vivid, terrifying flashbacks that have been haunting him. He admits he’s scared he’s “losing the plot,” but feels he can’t burden Jo and Lacey given everything the family has already endured losing their mother.
Amelia reassures him she’s there for him whenever he needs support, and David is clearly grateful to have someone steady by his side.
10. Beau’s Jealousy Bubbles Over
Beau’s plans for a romantic getaway with Harper hit a snag when she gets word that Tane and baby Archie are coming home a day early. Harper is thrilled and rushes to share the news, but Beau doesn’t hide his disappointment at being pushed down her list of priorities.
Harper insists it’s simply excitement about seeing her son, but Beau storms off in a jealous sulk regardless — another red flag in a relationship already full of them.
11. Beau’s Sinister Side Resurfaces
Harper and Beau eventually patch things up and spend the night together, only to be caught off guard the next morning when Tane and Archie show up unannounced. Tane, understandably curious about Harper’s new boyfriend, starts asking questions — questions Beau clearly doesn’t appreciate.
Then comes the moment that should worry every viewer: left alone with Archie for just a moment, Beau refers to the toddler as nothing more than “a little complication.” It’s a brief but bone-chilling glimpse of exactly who Beau really is beneath the charm.

12. John Feels the Financial Squeeze
With money tighter than it’s ever been, all eyes are on John to make the Surf Club fundraiser a success. Mali steps up, offering six free surf lessons as a prize for the silent auction, but John comes up empty-handed when he tries to secure freebies from Cash and the rest of the police force.
Disheartened but determined, John accepts that the fundraiser has to go ahead regardless — the club’s future depends on it.
13. Eden Draws the Line With Abigail
Abigail is devastated after Richie’s departure and doesn’t hold back, blaming Cash entirely for pushing him out of Summer Bay. Eden, unsurprisingly, stands by her husband and tells Abigail she needs to apologise.
When Abigail refuses to back down, Eden delivers an ultimatum: patch things up with Cash, or find somewhere else to live.
Will Abigail swallow her pride and make peace, or is she about to find herself without a roof over her head?
